Would you knowingly eat a breakfast entree with over 2,500 calories? How about a salad with 1,600 calories and 118 grams of fat? Those two menu bombs (the Cheesecake Factory French Toast Napoleon and the IHOP Chicken & Spinach Salad) are some of the restaurant shockers in the 2013 edition of "Eat This, Not That" by David Zinczenko with Matt Goulding (Rodale Books, $19.99).

The series of books, always good to scare the quesadillas out of you, has been spotlighting dining disasters since 2008. This year is no different. Among the worst foods:

  • Cheesecake Factory Grilled Chicken and Avocado Club: 1,560 calories and 26 grams of saturated fat.
  • Olive Garden Chicken Scampi: 1,070 calories and 53 grams of fat (20 grams sat fat).
  • Quizno's Harvest Chicken Wrap: 820 calories and 37 grams of fat (10 grams sat fat).

OK, enough with the piling on of calories. You get the picture. A fat reducing overview can help you build a clear describe of what you need to focus on to complete your fat loss purpose if you're a beginner; or serve as a reminder for these who are at an advanced or more advance step of their weightloss plan. Promptly after are seven steps that can serve as suggestions for your own weight loss plan. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not exactly the same thing. Many weight loss plans have misled people into believing that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss plans only work by resulting in a person's body to eliminate more muscle tissue and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. What can you eat at these restaurants?

  • Cheesecake Factory Seared Tuna Tataki Salad: 580 calories and 4 grams sat fat.
  • Olive Garden Grilled Chicken Caprese Panini: 560 calories and 23 grams of fat (9 grams sat fat).
  • Quizno's Toasted Roast Beef Sub: 450 calories and 23.5 grams fat (4.5 grams sat fat).

As you can see, menu terms like "grilled" and "harvest" and, heck, even "chicken" can be misleading. That's why this book can be eye-opening if you're not the kind of person to hunt down nutritionals before you dine out.

The book also scours the grocery aisles, pointing out the better choices in breakfast cereals, salad dressings, frozen pizzas and yogurts, among other foods.

And if you want to try your hand replicating restaurant-style entrees to save calories and cash, there are 10 recipes in the back of the book, including Mushroom-Sausage-Caramelized Onion Pizza (420 calories per serving), Cowboy Burgers (460 calories) and Moroccan Braised Chicken (440 calories).
