Easter season is upon us, and walk into any Walgreen, Dillons or even sumptuous Cocoa Dulce, and you'll be greeted by chocolate rabitts, cream-filled eggs and all sorts of springtime sugary delights.
One of the many joys of Easter lies in the sweet treats that we give our children, hide in little plastic eggs around the house, or even buy in bulk on clearance the Monday after easter.
But beware: that delicious hollow bunny is packed with calories.
- For example, one Cadbury Creme Egg has 150 calories alone.
- One Dove solid chocolate rabbit has 230 calories.
- One Reese's peanut butter egg has 180 calories.
- A Reese's peanut butter bunny has 798 calories.
- One Cadbury solid milk chocolate bunny has 890 calories.
- And those delicious, harmless seeming Jelly Belly jellybeans? Only thirty five of those little treats have about 140 calories.
So when you decide to chow down on colorful bunnies and creamy eggs this holiday, remember that Easter may come but once a year, but calories tend to linger.
