Our skies may be gray this weekend, but the city of Dublin, Calif., will be seeing plenty of green in its annual St. Patricks Day Celebration.
The three-day festival kicks off on Friday with the Green & White Gala, continues with a pancake breakfast and parade on Saturday, and concludes with Sundays Shamrock 5k at 8:30am.
Runners and walkers of all ages and levels are invited to take to the 3.1-mile course, which begins on Dublin Blvd. and snakes through the city before following the Alamo Canal Trail south to the finish line at the Dublin Library.
Last-minute pre-race registration will be available tomorrow from 3-7pm at World of Shoes (7871 Amador Valley Blvd., Dublin); this is the last opportunity for participants to receive discounted rates and the commemorative t-shirt. Otherwise, race-day registration will be available from 7:15-8:15am on Sunday for a cost of $30.
The post-race party will offer refreshments, entertainment and prize drawings for finishers.
