"Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" premieres tonight, featuring a 400-pound man, Tony, whose weight gain has strained his relationships and ended his job. Seeking to transform Tony's life: Chris Powell, a trainer who achieved the biggest and fastest weight loss in the world by helping a man lose 401 pounds in 26 weeks, according to ABC. Known for his exceptional diet and fitness knowledge, Chris authored "Choose to Lose: The 7-Day Carb Cycle Solution." He also stars in a fitness DVD, "Extreme Weight Loss: The Workout."
Tonight's show will reveal how Chris seeks to help Tony regain control of his weight with diet and exercise. Even though Tony says he's always had an unhealthy lifestyle, Chris believes he can help him. "The human body is an amazing machine that we can transform naturally. I have devoted my being to developing innovative lifestyles and tools to enrich the lives of others, and each life changed has been a remarkable gift," he says.
