In addition to being a pioneer in integrative medicine, Dr. Andrew Weil is also a restaurateur.

Four years ago this month, Weil teamed up with restaurateur Sam Fox to open the first True Food Kitchen restaurant in Phoenix, Ariz. The meals center on Weil's Anti-Inflammatory Diet & Food Pyramid. True Food Kitchen now has five restaurants in the West, with plans to open more.

But if you don't live near a True Food Kitchen but want to try some of executive chef Michael Stebner's dishes in your own kitchen, you can in the new book "True Food" (Little, Brown and Company, $29.99), which was released this week.

The oversized hardcover book is loaded with full-page color photos throughout its 255 pages, and would make a great holiday gift for your favorite healthy eater.

There are more than 125 recipes that feature whole grains, fresh produce and seasonal ingredients, cutting back on sugar, salt and fat.

No, it's not "50 Shades of Kale," although the leafy green vegetable is featured in six recipes, including an intriguing Kale Pesto. There is, dare we say, something for everyone:
