The week of April 4th through the 10th celebrates the 17th annual National Public Health Week. Organized by the American Public Health Association, the theme for 2011 is Safety is No Accident: Live Injury-Free, encouraging injury prevention awareness and education. A fat reducing review can help you construct a clear describe of what you need to focus on to carry out your fat reducing goal if you're a novice; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an intermediate or more enhance stage of their losing weight plan. Promptly after are seven steps that can serve as tips for your personal weight loss plan. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not a similar thing. Many weight loss courses have tricked people into thinking that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss programs only work by causing a person's body to reduce more muscle tissue and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor.

Today, over 60% of Americans are overweight, with half of that number being considered obese. In addition to the many internal health risks this can present, it has been found that a heightened risk of injury exists for this group.

A study published in the American Journal of Health Promotion found that "the odds of sustaining an injury requiring medical attention are 15% to 48% greater among those with excess weight". The types of injuries found most prevalent were sprains and strains, lower extremity fractures and joint dislocations. Injuries in this population also tend to be accompanied with an increased cost of medical treatment, longer recovery time and a chance of permanent injury.

Reaching and maintaining a healthy body weight through proper nutrition and adequate exercise can help lower the risk and consequences of such injuries.

During National Public Health Week, the new well complete weight loss and wellness center, located at Tatum Blvd. & Cactus Rd., will be waiving their membership fee for any new client beginning their weight loss program between April 4th and April 10th.
