Though it may not seem like there is anywhere to workout near the courthouse square, in actuality, there are two fitness centers where you can workout. That's not counting the YMCA on West Cherokee.
If you have time for a swim, or you want to be able to have your kids join some of the sports teams that the YMCA has organized, then you'll want to join the YMCA. Not only do they offer childcare, but there's a swimming pool and a kiddie pool where you and your kids can swim. If your kids are older, there's a climbing wall, and a game area where your kids can be active and enjoy themselves inside during the cold weather.
If you're looking for a different type of workout, you might be interested in joining Finer Physiques. They have three locations, and do offer childcare if you have younger children.
