When it comes to losing weight a weight loss journal is a fantastic tool that can be your best friend, and sometimes it might feel like your worst enemy. When deciding to start the weight loss journal, you begin to focus all of your thoughts about your weight in a way that you may never have thought of.

Sometimes it is hard to recall what we ate during the day, and how many calories. Though, beginning to record everything in a journal will help keep us from overeating and having extra frustration.

Keeping a weight loss journal also motivated a person and can keep them realistic with their goals that they have set, as well as help get them prepared to meet those goals. Without the weight loss buddy, also known as a journal, it can be easier to give up and not meet those goals. A fat loss overview can help you establish a clear summarize of what you require to focus on to achieve your fat reduction objective if you're a starter; or serve as a reminder for these who are at an advanced or more advance level of their losing weight program. Now that you have done this it is time to ask yourself the most important question of all. Why do I want to lose weight? This might be a tough question to answer, but no matter the answer it is personal and it is yours. Be honest with yourself. If it is to impress the guy that works down the hall from you, write it down. If it is because your family has a history of diabetes, write that down.

Take your measurements and starting weight, and once a week after that make sure to update your measurements and weight. This way a change is noticeable, even if it is only a pound or of an inch. Every small milestone is a step closer to that ultimate goal.

Now that you have created and started the journal, stick with it. Write down every day what you have eaten. If you did well, put a sticker or a happy face on the page. If you didnt, write down what went wrong and why. There may be something that is triggering your bad choices. A fight with your partner, a bad day at work, anything.

No matter what the most important thing to keeping this weight loss journal is to be honest with yourself, your emotions and not limit yourself. Keep up with exercise, trying to eat healthier, and keeping educated
