'Biggest Loser' chef Devin Alexander reveals her delicious diet secrets

• If you're going to a party or special event, eat first. "I usually recommend eating a really light (yet filling) day of lean protein and veggies leading up to such events."
• If you're going to a party that isn't catered, Devin suggests making something to "be your backup if you show up to a 'deep fried party.' Plus, youll increase your chances of being invited back next year because hosts love when guests arrive with presents and offerings!"
• Be a party smarty when it comes to serving alcohol at events. "Add frozen grapes, blueberries or other fruit to drinks to fill up without so much alcohol and so many empty sugars. I love filling champagne flutes with frozen grapes, then pouring in the champagne. Youll still look and feel social, but you wont overload on the calories even if you opt for a second drink," says Devin.
• Love cocoa? Learn to take advantage of cocoa powder, which has only 10 calories per tablespoon and two grams of fiber. "Add it to a protein smoothie or some yogurt or use it as the base of your hot chocolate.
