Cate Laughlan may have gotten eliminated from The Biggest Loser on Monday but that didnt slow her weight-loss journey. As of Tuesday, she is down 54 pounds from her first day on the Biggest Loser set. We talked with the 28-year-old New York woman on Tuesday afternoon about turning her Fat Tuesdays into Fit Tuesdays and reaching One-derland, that magical place under 200 on the scale.
Q. I think a lot of viewers can completely related to that whole Fat Tuesday thing. A lot of people do that -- the minute after they weigh in they figure they have a whole week to work it off. Did that figure into your old thinking?
A. A lot of times it was. Q. How did it feel to get to One-derland on the scale? What was that moment like when you saw it go below 200?
A. That moment was just unbelievable when I saw the scale go below 200. I haven't weighed less than 200 pounds -- gosh, even in high school, I mean, we're going back 10 or 12 years now. So it's been a long time and it was just a wonderful dream come true to see that finally happen. I took a picture.
Loser gains in ratings
It appears that moving The Biggest Loser from its longstanding Tuesday night slot to Mondays has given it a boost in the ratings, the network reported Tuesday. This weeks Biggest Loser episode maintained 100 percent of its rating last week, despite new comedies on CBS. And the 9:30-10 p.m. half hour grew by 19 percent in the 18-49 rating demographic.
