Think you know everything about dieting? You may be surprised by what weight loss specialist Dr. Joel Fuhrman calls the most common diet disasters made by smart women.   • Stop cutting back on calories.   • Be cautious about popular diets based on so-called food addictions, such as gluten-free.
  • Do you graze throughout the day? Wrong, says Dr. Fuhrman. Your body never has time to go through a full digestive cycle if you eat mini meals constantly.
  • Learn to recognize real hunger vs toxic hunger. If your stomach is growling, your head aches and you feel light-headed, these symptoms are caused by toxic hunger, says Dr. Fuhrman. Your body is experiencing withdrawal from low-nutrient, artificial foods. Learn to identify real hunger, which starts in your throat and chest.
