10 years ago, Anne and Rick Heath were the typical American Dream couple. With no children at home, they moved away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cowtown to a small farm just south of Fort Worth. While Rick continued to commute to the city for work, Anne became the stay at home wife. Doting on others, preparing high fat comfort foods, and no exercise resulted in the middle aged spread which was effecting not only Annes ability to complete daily chores; her high body fat was effecting her health, and unfortunately poor choices were effecting her husbands health as well.

Anne decided to begin training with a trainer. Within 6 months, Anne began making changes to her health and her physique. Her trainer designed a program for her consisting of weight training three times per week, cardio training three days per week, and one day of yoga. She also was given a nutritional plan to follow which was designed to reduce body fat and allow muscle mass to build gradually. A fat reduction overview can help you produce a clear describe of what you require to focus on to carry out your fat loss goal if you're a rookie; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an advanced or more enhance phase of their weight-loss strategy. Following are seven steps that can serve as suggestions for your own weight loss plan. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same thing. Many weight loss programs have misled people into believing that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss applications only work by causing a person's body to burn more muscle flesh and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. Within 6 months, Annes body fat was nearing the healthy range of 24%, and she was feeling fantastic.

One year later, Rick witnessed the transformation in his wife and decided he too would begin training. He walked most days of the week and weight trained 3 days per week. Within 6 months, his body fat was reading 18%; a healthy range for males.

Flash forward to 2011, Rick has reduced his body fat to 11% and has increased his muscle mass by 10 pounds. He has added a day of stretching and myofascial release techniques to his routine, and when he travels, he always stays in a hotel with a gym. Most recently, Ricks doctor advised him that he is in the best shape of any of his patients. He doesnt have the health issues most 60 year olds are plagued with, and he definitely does not move like a person in his senior years.

Anne suffered a small set back in her health early this year. Her weight and body fat increased which put her health in jeopardy. The increase in body fat also increased her cholesterol and chances of developing heart disease, cancer, or suffering a stroke. Her doctor was adamant on giving her cholesterol lowering drugs which she refused.

For the past 3 months, Anne has followed a high fiber-whole foods diet that her trainer suggested. Last week, her doctor was ecstatic over her efforts. Her weight was down 20 pounds, body fat levels were down 10%, and most importantly her cholesterol has dropped well over 50 points. Along with the change in diet, her trainer suggested adding a second day of yoga to her training schedule. This addition has resulted in a rejuvenation of her thyroid, which has reduced her prescription costs.

What was an American Dream partially lived with a ranch house, a collection of cars, and a life of relaxation, resulted in an American Dream that can be lived to its fullest thanks to fitness and sound nutritional choices.
