Since World War II there have been a fine line between what is called Natural Flavor and Artificial Flavor. The similarities between these two are far more significant than their differences. Both are man-made additives that give most processed foods most of its taste.

Open your refrigerator, your freezer, kitchen cupboards and look at the labels on your food. You'll find natural flavored or artificial flavor in just about every list of ingredients. Did you know that the flavor industry have some of the highly secretive formulas there is?

Even the aromas are man-made: the manipulation of volatile chemicals to create a particular smell. A fat reduction review can help you establish a clear summarize of what you need to focus on to carry out your fat burning objective if you're a rookie; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an advanced or more boost stage of their weight-loss program. Promptly after are seven steps that can serve as methods for your own weight loss system. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not exactly the same thing. Many weight loss programs have fooled people into wondering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss applications only work by resulting in a person's body to reduce more muscle cells and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. The basic science behind the scent of your shaving cream or floor wax is the same as how they made the flavor of your TV dinner.

The aroma of a food can be responsible for 90 percent of the flavor. Even the color of a food can determine the perception of taste or flavor.

The story is that a Germany scientist working in a chemical plant discovered one of the first artificial flavors, by accident, while mixing chemicals, methyl anthranilate was created, the plant was filled with the smell of sweet grapes. Now methyl antranilate is the main ingredient for grape Kool-Aid.

Just for fun lets look at what in a strawberry shake at a local Denver Area FAST FOOD place;

amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamyl vaterate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketrone, ethyl acetate, ethyl amylketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnaimate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl heptylate, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenlgycidate, ethyl nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerate, heliotropin, hydroyphenyl-2-butanone (10 percent solution in alcohol), a-ionone, isobutyl anthranilae, isobutyl butyrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbonate, methyl naphthyl, ketone, methyl salicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobutyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, rose, rum ether, y-undecalactone, vanillin and solvent. YUMMY IN YOUR TUMMY.....NOT!!!! So did you notice that no where in the above ingredients did you see strawberries.

Without affecting the appearance or nutritional value, adding chemicals to processed foods like; ethyl-2-methyl butyrate would smell like an apple, Methyl-2-peridylketone would taste just like popcorn, ethyl-3-hydroxybutanoate tastes like marshmallows. Or adding hexanal food would smell like fresh cut grass. Adding 3-methyl butanoic acid would make it smell of...body odor.

This is what is called Living better thru Chemistry. (???)

Just because it says natural flavors, it doesn't mean healthier or purer than artificial flavors. Almond flavor (benzaldehyde) is made from natural sources, like peach and apricot pits but it contains a small trace of hydrogen cyanide a deadly poison. What happened to using a almond for the almond flavor?

So take a look at all those natural flavors on the ingredient's label and remember what you have just read here. Does it really sound that great to eat? Fast foods is processed foods.

If you can't say the word, maybe you shouldn't eat the item!!!
