Rosie wants to send a message to other women. "Know the symptoms, ladies," she wrote on her blog. "Call 911." Although Rosie did not discuss the details provided by her cardiologist or recommendations for dietary changes, cardiac surgeon and talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz repeatedly warns viewers that being overweight is linked to heart disease. He recently appeared on the Rachael Ray show to discuss the risks of fat around the waist, for example, explaining, "You want the inches around your waist to be less than half of your height."
