Weight loss is more than just diet and exercise, says registered dietitian Keri Glassman. Obviously, those are important, but just as important are sleep, stress reduction, organization, empowerment, breathing and even love.

Glassman, a regular on "Access Hollywood Live" and the "Today" show, was on "Today" Thursday to discuss her new book "The New You and Improved Diet" (Rodale Books, $24.99).

The fact is, if you dont look at all of these other areas of your life, it doesnt matter how great that meal plan is, how motivated you are or that grocery list you have, youre not going to lose weight, Glassman told Al Roker. But on a positive side, if you focus on all of these other areas of your life, youre going to lose weight and become healthier almost automatically.
