Biggest Loser season 11 week 17 recap: In a shrunken episode, old favorites, big results and a first-ever defection from the ranch.
Back from New Zealand, Alison informed the Magnificent Seven that it is Favorites Week on the ranch and theyd be meeting some of The Biggest Losers favorite contestants from past seasons.
They headed to the gym and who was there? Season 5 winner Ali Vincent, now a motivational speaker and author, and season 9 contestant Sam Poueu, who is now a trainer at the Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu. Jay came to the giddy reality that just like him, Ali was eliminated, came back and she won the whole shootin match.
Then Ali and Sam made some really delicious-looking recipes Ali made a quinoa salad and Sam wrapped up some turkey and hummus. (Want those recipes? We've got 'em here.)
The challenge: Vroom! NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer jumped out of his Wheatiesmobile to introduce the classic car-pulling challenge. And then Biggest Loser car-pulling champion, season 7 finalist Tara Costa, emerged on the track to tell the contestants that shell be competing with them. And girlfriend can still yank an automobile! By a photo finish, Tara beat Rulon, and with that she won $5,000 for her Inspire Change Foundation and gets her picture on a Wheaties box.
Last-chance workout: Already? Yep, the show is only an hour long tonight, and in the gym we glimpsed a little foreshadowing of Rulons choice. He told Cara hed be perfectly fine to leave the ranch this week.
We didnt see a lot of Jillian this week but she did have a great conversation with Irene, who was feeling a lot of pressure to be the first woman to lose 100 pounds this season. She told Jillian that she was putting too much emphasis on that number and diminishing the success that she has already achieved.

Weigh-in and elimination: Did you see that big grin plastered on Rulons face as he entered the gym? His mind was made up. Thisll be my last time on the scale, he told everyone. At this time Im asking to leave The Biggest Loser for personal reasons. Obviously, everyone was shocked. And that was a first in show history. Now its anybodys game, said a shocked Bob. But even though Rulon left, someone would still be going home. Howd they do?
- Irene: 3 pounds, which got her past the 100-pound mark 101 to be exact.
- Kaylee: +2. Shes really see-sawing. Perhaps her body is comfortable at that weight?
