Pita Pit brings healthier options to Harrisburg

You may have noticed a new look to what used to be known as The Spot on the corner of 2nd and Walnut St., as well as a healthier option in fast food. The new hot spot for healthy, fast food is the Pita Pit, which opened on 9/22/11.

The Pita Pit offers a variety of healthier, fast options for everyone looking for a new, fresh addition to their list of favorite eateries. The Pita Pit is different from most fast food restaurants in the area not only are the options healthy and fresh, but they are lower in carbs and fat. Rather than serving up sandwiches on white buns, theyve developed their own light Lebanese-style pita, and fill them with fresh lean meats and veggies, along with their own signature sauces, cheese, and toppings.

Pitas offered include:

• Meat - from prime rib and chicken, to tuna
• Veggie from all your favorite veggies to falafel and hummus
