So now you have done the most important step in weight loss and that is to realize and decide that you need and WANT to lose weight. Congratulations. But now what? Where does one start?

The answer is goal setting. You might have read this before. Setting clear, realistic and specific goals are key to getting ANYTHING done, not just weight loss.

For example saying, Im going to drink more water. is a goal but its not specific enough.

1. You will need a clear motive:

Im going to drink more water.

This is clear enough. You specified water over other liquids.

2. You will need to create a fixed number/amount and a time frame:

Im going to drink 8 (8 oz) glasses of water a day.

Eight glasses is the amount. Drinking that much a day is your time frame.

3. You will need to set a realistic and do-able deadline: ( This one is incredibly important and can make or break you meeting your goal.)

Im going to drink 8 (8 oz) glasses of water a day for 7 days straight.

Creating a simple, do-able deadline to a goal is key. Creating elaborate goals from the beginning are not going to help and are going to make you want to give up when you dont meet it. Seven days for a goal is a realistic deadline. A fat loss overview can help you produce a clear describe of what you need to focus on to accomplish your fat burning target if you're a starter; or serve as a reminder for those who are at an intermediate or more boost stage of their losing weight strategy. Applying are seven steps that can serve as methods for your personal weight loss system. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not exactly the same thing. Many weight loss applications have fooled people into wondering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss programs only work by resulting in a person's body to lose more muscle flesh and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. Saying I want to lose 30 lbs in one month. is neither a realistic, a healthy, or a specific goal.

Start slow. Once you set your goal, go for it. If you do not accomplish it in your deadline, dont panic. See what hiccups you had that week and then try again. Dont give up! Once you DO accomplish your goal youll be ready to move on and accomplish a new more elaborate goal.

Nothing beats the high of accomplishing a goal you set out for yourself. That high is what keeps you going. Will you look at that. I drank all my water this week. That wasnt so bad. I could do this. Now I want to try eating an apple a day! Just like that. Soon enough youll become addicted to accomplishing goals and sooner or later youll find yourself training for a 5k.

Still need some inspiration to pump you up? Reading success stories are always a great way to gain motivation.
