Singer, entrepreneur and new mom Jessica Simpson introduced baby daughter Maxwell to the world in People magazine, which hits newsstands on Friday and also let the magazine know that the long-rumored deal with Weight Watchers is, in fact, true.
The magazine, which released photos and interview snippets today, features Simpson, her fianc Eric Johnson and their daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on the cover.
Rumors had swirled, even before Maxwell was born, that Simpson would be teaming up with the weight-loss company to take off her post-baby weight. Singer-actress Jennifer Hudson also took off her post-baby weight in 2010 with Weight Watchers and still works with the company she is featured in a new series of Believe ads that launched last week.
Today on the Weightwatchers.com community site, there was a note that read, in part:

And the deal had been in the works even before Simpson became pregnant, according to Weight Watchers:

It hasn't been announced when Simpson will start her Weight Watchers plan, but the company recommends that "breastfeeding women wait 6-8 weeks before attempting active weight loss, as the body needs time to recover from childbirth and establish a good milk supply."
