The first thing to do is really scrap any ideas that you may have about a cardio routine and start fresh. The idea that should be maintained about cardio is quality over quantity.   • Sprint hills
    • Another form of interval training is to find a fairly steep hill and then sprint up the hill, only to walk back down and rest. This relies on the same principle as the training mentioned in jumping rope.
  • Utilizing a track
    • Most high schools or colleges have a mile track. Try to sprint the straight-aways and walk the curves for another great form of interval training, and you can calculate your distance traveled.
  • Create an obstacle course
    • This can be as elaborate as a person wants it to be. It will also add fun to talk friends into joining you and helping set up.
