Grab your keys, grab your cell phone, your iPod, and of course your wallet, but once you are at work or school you realize something is missing, breakfast. Through the motions of the busy morning, everything was meant to be grabbed but the truth is the most important part of the day was forgotten and now there will be a sluggish feeling throughout the day. Rather than forgetting the most important meal of the day, take a second and have a quick breakfast that is healthy and nutritional.

Strawberry or Chocolate breakfast shakes are perfect for the morning rush. These items can be found at the local grocery store of your choice. Through products such as Carnation breakfast essentials, taking one packet and adding it with soy milk and throwing it in a blender, or simply mixing it together in a cup will only take about five minutes of the morning. This is also a great way to start the kids off with some nutritional vitamins and something tasty.

Sliced apples and cheese cubes is also an easy and healthy breakfast that a person can make in minutes or the night before to have ready to take on the go for work. This small meal requires not much effort but coring the apple and cutting the apple slices and placing them inside a baggy with a tad of lemon juice to avoid browning. The cheese can be low fat cheese of your choice. However it is important to keep an eye with the servings sizes to avoid overeating.

An egg McMuffin or a made at home muffin and egg sandwich is an alternative for on the go. This delicious item is not only tasty but is less than 300 calories. This meal can be made easily by toasting a whole wheat English muffin and frying an egg on the skillet. If desired, adding a small slice of cheese or Canadian bacon can be done as well. If you dont have the times to make it at home, stop by a local McDonalds or another fast food restaurant and purchase one, and ask for the calorie intake if it is not listed.

Granola added to plain or vanilla yogurt is another healthy and quick option that can be done every morning, or put together the night before.
