Celebrate the end of summer racing season with Color Me Rad San Jose, which takes place at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds on September 1. Race participants will wear their finest pre-Labor Day whites only to get doused with different colors of dyed corn starch at five minute intervals along the 5K course.
Cross the finish line with (or rather, covered in) flying colors, and join in on the royal rumble of pigment where every 15 to 20 minutes finishers will grab color bombs and pummel each other until theyre black and blue (from corn starch, that is no real bruising will occur). A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Pacific Autism Center for Education, a nonprofit agency serving the needs of individuals with Autism and their families in the Bay Area. Their mission is to provide high quality programs for individuals with Autism and its related developmental disabilities, so they may experience the satisfaction and fulfillment that accompany learning, self-expression, self-care, productive work and interpersonal and community experiences.
