Did you know that one in three children in the United States faces a future with diabetes? Exercise is one way to help control the condition, but now its also a way to help the American Diabetes Association provide education programs in communities across the U.S., protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, the American Diabetes Association's signature fundraising event, raises more than $20 million annually to support the organizations mission of preventing and curing diabetes and improving the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps, and thanks to 135 Step Out events around the country, participants can get fit while reducing their risk for Type 2 diabetes and supporting the ADA.
San Joses very own Step Out event is scheduled for Sunday, October 9, at Guadalupe River Park (525 W.
