AIDS Walk/Run Philly is the largest yearly event supporting public awareness, HIV/AIDS education and fund raising in Philadelphia and the entire Delaware Valley. Participants are asked to approach friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor a monetary pledge for the miles walked. Individual and team/group walkers are welcome.
The AIDS Walk/Run Philly will start and end at the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (Eakins Oval). The Walk course is 8.4 miles or 12 kilometers. It proceeds up Kelly Drive then down Martin Luther King Drive. Estimated time to walk the route is about two to three hours.
