This weight watcher has found another "light" soup that tastes pretty good, made so with its 480 mg salt that are easily tasted. That soup is Progresso's Light Italian Style Meatball. Unfortunately, the "light" has nothing to do with the salt content. Any food labeled "light" by law has to have one-third fewer calories or one-half the fat of the usual food.

Using those standards, this soup (of course it is tasty--the salt ensures that!) has just 80 calories in a 1-cup serving, and 2 grams of total fat. You won't be getting a lot of protein from the meatballs, however--one serving has just 3 grams of protein. Adults over age 60 need to get 60 grams of protein in their diet daily. A fat reduction review can help you produce a clear summarize of what you require to focus on to complete your fat burning target if you're a novice; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an intermediate or more enhance phase of their weight-loss strategy. Applying are seven steps that can serve as instructions for your special weight loss program. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not a similar thing. Many weight loss courses have fooled people into considering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss plans only work by causing a person's body to lose more muscle cells and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. Without protein your body cannot function.

The meatballs are 5 on the ingredient list (1 is water), and contain pork, beef, water, eggs, and textured soy protein. If you are not a soy fan, you have nothing to worry about--you really cannot taste it in this soup.

Although most of the soup manufacturers now have a "light" line, the selection is limited, and the soups are still high in sodium (why--that is the burning question we all want to know). So, read the nutrition label very carefully.

Looking for another light soup? Try Progresso's Light Vegetable Soup (reviewed here).

All Albuquerque grocery stores, including the Kirtland AFB commissary, carry the Progresso brand.
