Should a child be put on a strict diet? One mom thinks so - and she wrote about her 7-year-old daughter's diet "success" in the April issue of Vogue. The article author, Dara-Lynn Weiss, says the child's doctor informed her that "we needed to do something" about the little girl's weight. She's not alone: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that almost 20 percent of kids and teens ages 2 to 19 are obese.
