It's tough to dine out while maintaining a healthy diet. So, where in San Francisco do you go to eat clean and feel confident that the meals being prepared by others is the same (or close enough) healthy, organic foods and ingredients you would use at home? Here's a listing below of the best fresh, clean, some vegan and some not, healthy cuisines in San Francisco today.

Its Vegan and Delicious!
On second thought, dont get used to the cocktails here, as they are deliciously ever-changing. And dont get used to feeling a little out of place if you choose to show up in your flip flops and jeans, since this place dresses classy and a bit sassy. Its pricey. Get used to paying for a beautiful meal with heaven-sent delicacies and finger-licking (but not in public view) good vegan food. Void of animal products, the food is impeccable, along with the wine pairings for each of the five courses. The menu highlights include: Maple Black Pepper Glazed Smoked Tempeh w/ olive oil mashed potatoes with horseradish, sauted with spring onion, asparagus & baby carrots, Dijon-dill cashew cream, grilled lemon, parsley & radish salad; Crusted Oyster Mushrooms; Chocolate Almond Midnight with almond cashew crust, mocha chocolate filling, raspberry sauce, and white chocolate mousse; and the Blueberry-Lemon Napoleon with pine nut baklava, lemon curd, vanilla bean syrup, and rosemary granita. Make your reservations well enough in advance, because this is a popular restaurant, but one that you will see around for a long, long time. Millennium is a vegan restaurant thats here to stay. Better get used to it.

Asian Fusion: Parlayed with a Touch of American
You might just melt in your seat from taste bud bliss, but thats just one of the risks you take when you sample the flavors of this ethnic cuisine. The food quality reflects the high-end prices for this casual, tucked away eatery in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco. Try the Kobe beef with truffle sauce, salmon rolls, deep fried chicken livers with baby greens, crab cakes, rib-eye, Kurobuta pork chop, scallops, and sea bass with garlic noodles, calamari and tuna tartare. This place is usually a full house, so make your reservations ahead of time.

Try anything from the menu, and youre sure to get the freshest, most tender meal always complimented with the best sauces and marinades. Simply put, Foreign Cinema offers the most flavorful experience in all of San Francisco and the dcor is something to simply adore. Big Taste in a Little Joint
Located just a pitter patters distance away from the 24th Street BART station, enjoy this fast, fresh, and fabulous eatery of authentic Mexican food. Frigging huge, the burritos here are astronomically sized to fit the largest of guts, but if your stomach is wee and tiny, bring this monster home for leftovers galore. If you can, avoid the dinner rush, as lines are sometimes out the door to get in to this tasty little place. Bring your cash, since that is the only currency El Farolito accepts. Chips and salsa are .50 cents, and for a dollar, you get sour cream, cheese and avocado with meal and all its fixings. But even with the extra add on pricing, the meal itself is cheaper than most places, with average entrees priced under $10. When youre hunkering for big meaty bites, and a big spicy kick of flavor, come to this little joint. It wont disappoint.
