Rapper Vanilla Ice made a name for himself with "Ice Ice Baby" in 1990. Now, thanks to Zumba, he's refining his fitness and public profile with a newly remixed version of that popular song for Zumba. The musical fitness craze appeals to Vanilla Ice because it offers "a new way of reaching an audience of music lovers," Sergio Minski, the Zumba company's director of music, told Billboard magazine. "He understood right away what we have within the platform."
Vanilla Ice takes pride in his dance moves, which are featured in a Zumba video routine. "I showed 'em some moves," Ice boasted to Billboard. He showcased his new version at the 2012 Zumba Instructor Convention, noting that "the whole crowd was singing the song, every word, as they were doing the routine."
