The Green Olive is a mediterranean fast-food place is inside the food court in the Long Beach Towne Center. I got there at 11:05 so I could pick up lunch for my brother, who was in town for some training at the Long Beach Police Academy. When I got there, they weren't open. I asked the guy, "Are you open?" He goes, "No. Maybe 10-15 minutes." I'm looking around the food court for something else when I get a text from my bro. He's running late.
So I go and hang out at Barnes and Noble. Come back to the food court at 12. The guy is busy in the kitchen and goes, "I'll be with you in a minute." After waiting SEVEN minutes, he comes up to the counter and almost takes the guy behind me first. I give him a look and he takes my order.
While I'm waiting, he messes up the other orders. One lady doesn't get her pita bread and the other lady doesn't get a fork.
Another ten minutes pass and my order is ready. The guy gives me two free pitas for the wait.
The food is GREAT. I got a falafel platter and the falafels were perfect. Not too greasy and green on the inside. The hummus was delicious. My brother got the chicken wrap and said it was good too.
The portion sizes are really small for the money though. My platter had 4 falafels, a scoop of hummus and a thing of tahini with about 1/8 cup of salad.
