Biggest Loser season 13 week 13 was unlucky for Megan tonight. Even though Bob made her his special project this week, she came up a little short in the weigh-in and didn't have the support from contestants so she was sent home. But not before we got to see Buddy Zumba his heart out and Kim "sweat dollar bills" to win $1,000 a pound at the weigh-in.
Home from Hawaii, the contestants were missing the island sun and fun. But dont worry, theres spaghetti sauce! Actually, Newmans Own and Feeding America teamed up for a pop challenge. Contestants had to load food donations onto trucks. (Newmans Own Sockarooni Sauce and Light Lime dressing are our faves.) The winner gets a donation to their hometown food bank. They also get a 1-pound advantage at the weigh-in. Lean and mean Mark won the challenge.
Since this weeks theme is making exercise fun, Dolvett cranked up the action at a Zumba class, which is buckets of fun and an excellent workout.
Quote of the week, from Buddy: Ill just try to Zumba from the depths of my soul.
And Buddy got Zumbalicious (his word). He got up on stage and led the class. But then it was time for Dolvett to strut his stuff, and strut he did and the splits.
Bobs workout wasnt as Zumbalicious -- he hit the dusty trail and took his crew mountain biking. Everyone efforted up the hills but Conda was bringing up the rear and whining and Bob was annoyed. Conda, pipe down and just keep pedaling, Bob shouted from the front of the pack. And the best part of the workout? The ride home, downhill all the way.
This weeks gratuitous Subway plug had a guest star Subway Guy Jared Fogle and his magic pants. And of course, he brought lunch.
Cooking challenge: The contestants met in a grocery store and had 7 minutes to choose ingredients for their dish. Once they got back to the ranch, theyd have 20 minutes to prepare the dish. The winner gets $1,000 for every pound they lose on the scale. Jeremys grocery quest was pretty comical. After a few minutes of spinning around with an empty cart, he tossed in bread and grape jelly what is he, 5 years old? He planned on making French toast but oops! forgot to buy eggs. But in the kitchen, Chris had a bigger problem time was up and her chicken wasnt cooked through.
Vinny, Antone and Becky from season 12 were their celebrity judges and they looked fabulous. Everyone brought their finished dishes to the judges to pass muster. Elimination: Megan and Mark are up for elimination tonight. And the votes went completely against Megan. Mark, who remains, may find it hard to lose more weight on the ranch since hes so close to goal.
The update: Megan has lost a total of 70 pounds and is back in the saddle again, racing her horse, which is something she hadnt done in years. And even better shes engaged and her fianc lost 80 pounds while she was away.
