This review is different though since we will go over a few of their products being offered, which would be the cookbook, protein and meal bars, and then the main book itself.
The New Atkins : For A New You
This book is actually pretty interesting compared to a lot of the other ones out there. First off, it was actually written by people that hold a career and education in the fields of nutrition and dieting, opposed to the Primal Burn being written by a person lacking the nutrition background and having only the knowledge of doing what he read through various researches.
Anyways, the Atkins Diet released their best selling book in order to help individuals struggling with their fat loss progress, and the better part about the book is that they give you plenty of information that is new, improved, and proven through research performed voluntarily by other organizations. You receive the in-depth look at net carbs, various fats (both good and bad ones), and you also receive recipes at the end as well.
You need the good feeling that this could possibly work, and the Atkins Diet does come backed by science as they claim, which is honestly true.You won't instantly lose fat, but you can reach that point faster than with a regular diet based solely on calorie deficits.
Protein and Meal Bars
Protein and meal bars honestly taste like crap with most brands, and you need to pound a bottle of water down just to consume the bar! However, the bars produced by Atkins are actually tasty and bring a relief to your taste buds for a change. They are designed to help you meet your protein needs, or some are more like healthy dessert bars that curve your appetite for cookies and the likes.
They come in an assortment of flavors, which gives you the freedom of trying individual ones. The Atkins Cookbook is rather nice compared to other ones I have seen, and the recipes provided are a bit more unique, which again is nice since it gets old seeing the same re-hashed recipes in books that cost an arm and a leg. Sometimes you wonder, "What did I just pay for?" The question running through your head already has an answer; crap.
However, this cookbook is enjoying to use even if you are not on any extreme diet plan such as myself. If you were to try any of the recipes, I suggest the sauteed onion, black olive, and goat cheese pizza. Tasted awesome and pretty simple to create!
You honestly don't have to give up all of your foods to follow a diet, and eating like a "caveman" means you might as well eat grass and berries off a tree. Sure you lose fat, but why not enjoy your life while doing so? That's why I truly liked the Atkins Diet since you can still eat! Who would of thought? I always preach about eating while burning fat, and this product helps you do just that!
