Slideshow: Tom Cruise's lawyer slams Katie for her Scientology 'media play' (Photos)

Battling for custody of their daughter, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are so preoccupied with slamming each other's tactics that they have no time to take Suri for cupcake and cocoa excursions. Katie's team has expressed concerns that if she does not win sole custody, Suri will be subjected to Scientology rituals such as a dangerous detox "purification" diet. Now Tom's lawyer is firing back, saying, "We are letting the other side (Katie and her team) play the media until they wear everyone out, and then we'll have something to say," reported Us Weekly today.

Although some media outlets have reported that Tom will file for joint custody of Suri, his lawyer refused to comment. "Tactically we can't say where Tom will file a divorce case and if he'll be seeking joint custody of Suri," he said. Katie's concerns appear to focus on the extent to which Scientology could influence her daughter's future:
