Are you a binge eater, emotional eater or unable to stop your constant snacking? You're not alone, says neuroscientist and diet expert Darya Pino Rose. In an exclusive interview, Darya explained how to halt those habits and ease emotional eating problems. She is the author of "Foodist: Using Real Food and Real Science to Lose Weight Without Dieting" (click to order).

"The secret of breaking habits is understanding that they are always associated with a cue, the signal that tells your brain to start the action, and a reward, a pleasurable feeling that reinforces the cue," says Darya. Non-stop snacking, for example, may be triggered by a non-food reward such as dealing with boredom or stress. "Try to substitute different actions for eating, like scheduling a small walk around the office to chat with a friend, or chewing gum to occupy your mouth," suggests Darya.

As for binge eating, Darya says that a common cause is what she calls the "what-the-hell effect." For example, if you've set a goal of eating only 1,200 calories a day and realize you've reached that limit at noon, you might "rationalize a binge by telling ourselves we've already screwed up so what-the-hell, we might as well enjoy it while we can." To avoid that problem, "stop telling yourself that certain foods are off limits," Darya suggests. Instead, tell yourself that you can enjoy it later. "Psychologists have shown that this tactic not only reduces binge eating, but it also helps you eat less than someone who never dieted in the first place. A fat loss review can help you construct a clear describe of what you need to focus on to achieve your fat reduction objective if you're a novice; or serve as a reminder for those who are at an advanced or more improve stage of their weight loss strategy. Following are seven steps that can serve as instructions for your personal weight loss system. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same thing. Many weight loss plans have fooled people into believing that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss programs only work by producing a person's body to eliminate more muscle flesh and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor.
