For most people they just start. Starting is very important, but not the most important. I will list the top four things.

First thing is you need a starting place. You need to get measurements. They will never lead you wrong. I have seen people lose the same amount of weight or body fat and have completely different psychological effect.

Measuring will give you an exact starting point. Everything should be measured in a 30 day cycle. Sometimes we are doing the right thing and we don't realize it. By taking the right steps you can continue advancing.

The second thing in your approach is to chart or write down all your foods. There is power in the pen. It takes more steps. That will help you stay more accountable.
