Question: What do you get when you mix 20+ live bands with 13,000+ runners and thousands of spectators? Answer: Californias fastest half marathon, known as the Rock n Roll San Jose Half Marathon, which will celebrate its 6th anniversary this year on Sunday, October 2.
The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and levels, from novice to professional, and features more than 20 live bands and hundreds of local high school cheerleaders to entertain and cheer on participants along the scenic course. Finishers will celebrate to the tunes of event headliner Big Head Todd and the Monsters, known for hits such as Bittersweet, Its Alright, Tangerine, Resignation Superman, Boom Boom and Please Dont Tell Her.
The weekends festivities kick off with a pre-race Health & Fitness Expo at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center with more than a hundred retailers on hand to showcase the very latest in running gear, nutrition and training.
