Host and star of the popular medical TV show, "The Doctors", Dr. Travis Stork recently responded to my interview questions about what really works for weight loss. He's hyped on fitness, because "The Doctors" cast is teaming up with the President's Fitness Challenge and encouraging Americans to get moving this May. Soda, juices, blended coffee shop drinks can add hundreds of unnecessary calories to your daily intake. If you want to add low calorie flavor to your water, try adding citrus fruits like lemons, limes or oranges," he explained to me.

As for popular weight loss supplements, Dr. Stork is not a fan. "You should absolutely consult with your physician before beginning any supplement regimen," he emphasized. "The best method for achieving a healthy weight is maintaining a well-balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains, while adding any daily physical activity you enjoy. You will get the nutrients your body needs without the risk of adverse health effects sometimes associated with weight-loss supplements."
