Biggest Loser season 13 week 8 was all about self-control, or lack thereof. Tuesday night, calories were consumed, teams were tweaked, feelings were hurt, weigh-ins were fishy and the inevitable happened in the elimination room as Daphne was sent home to do smashingly at home.
The episode kicked off with a birthday cake for Buddy. Does he even get to eat it? Since self-control is the theme of the week, they eschewed the cake and headed into a room filled with even more off-limits foods. It was a table filled with everyones favorite foods doughnuts, peanut butter cups, pizza, pasta (urp) etc. Oh, and venison.
Quote of the week, from Kimmy, whos a fan of the deer meat: Bambi is good for more than just watching on TV.
The temptation: They all go one by one into the food room and whoever eats the most calories in three minutes gets to reshuffle the teams anonymously. Five contestants ate something, including Cassandra, who pizza'ed herself into a shaking frenzy, but Daphne pounded down over 1,800 calories all in peanut butter cups. Daphne decided to swap Jeremy and Conda.
After the switch, everyone wanted to know who the Calorie Queen was. Daphne kept mum but everyone figured it was her.
Jeremy and Conda wept through their workouts on their new teams dont they realize that doing such a radical switch will probably help their weight this week?
The challenge: Each team has to put together a puzzle, simple enough. But each piece weighs 200 pounds. Every member of the winning team wins two weeks at the Biggest Loser Resort. While the puzzle-piece shifting was not compelling television, the red team won the challenge handily.
Bobs goal: Get everyone liking Daphne again. Good luck with that. Right now everybody knows she was the secret Calorie Queen and Bob sat down with her to ask her why she was lying about it. Bob got her to confess to her teammates to try and clear things up. Her confession was met with deafening silence.
There were lots of touching moments with trainers connecting with contestants, birthday calls home to kiddies and other happy times. The editors probably front-loaded the show to make up for

The update: 71 pounds down now, Daphne is stress free (which is good for her heart since she has a-fib) and getting healthier and healthier.
