Biggest Loser tightens its belt as new season delayed until spring

After losing its heft in the ratings, the Biggest Loser show won't re-appear this fall and will return in the spring, announced the Atlanta Journal Constitiution yesterday. They seemed to have lost sight of the fact that having access to a private, luxury gym, carefully portioned and healthy meals, and world-class professional trainers was a gift, not something to complain about! And despite Alison Sweeney's best attempts to hold the show together, the continual musical chairs game of the trainers also hurt the show. Jillian Michaels left, followed by the appearance of Anna Kournikova, followed by the disappearance of Anna!

I hope that the show focuses on what it does best: choosing contestants who are focused on losing weight to save their lives, with professional trainers who are, as in the case of sole survivor Bob Harper, true professionals. Only then will it regain its weight as the "Biggest!"
