Finding time alone to work out is hard when you're a parent. But, why not make it a family affair? After all, the CDC reports that obesity is now affecting 17% of all children and adolescents in the United States. Fight back with these ten easy ways to exercise with your kids.

Go swimming

Swimming is a fantastic low-impact aerobic exercise that is also fun for the whole family. Smaller kids (and maybe even bigger ones) love piggy back rides in the water, so make some laps with that little bit of added weight.

Play basketball

Go to your local park, gym or even school gymnasium and play a friendly game of hoops with your kids. Take a walk

Gather up the family and head out on a walk around the block, down a trail or even around the park. Granted, the shorter legs will likely slow down your pace, but you don't have to go fast all the time. As a matter of fact, it's been said that walking slow actually burns more calories per mile and is easier on your joints.

Weighted squats

If you are the parent of a teenager, this might not be your best bet, but for parents of smaller children a weighted squat is easy to do at home. Just let your little one hop on your back and squat away. The added 30-40 pounds will really make a difference.

Do some sit-ups

Have your child sit on your feet while you do sit-ups. It will help you keep proper form and make them feel like they're a part of your exercise routine. For an added push at the top of the sit-up, try to kiss your little one's nose when you come up.

Play Xbox Kinect

The video game that actually requires you to get off the couch to play is a great way to exercise with your kids. With Kinect games like Dance Central, Kinect Sports and even the out-of-the-box Kinect Adventures will really make you work up a sweat and your kids will love them, too.

Yard Work

While your kids will probably not be as enthusiastic about this idea as you would like, it's still a great way to exercise together. Raking leaves, pulling weeds and mowing the grass will really get your heart pumping.
