The President's Challenge is a nationwide challenge to people to start moving and get healthy. It's for anyone of all ages who wants to become healthy and get fit. Colorado Springs is one of the fittest cities in the nation, but if you've been putting off getting back to working out or eating right, this is a good way to go. April is Defeat Diabetes Month and exercise and diet are important parts to keeping diabetes under control, so why not sign up for this challenge?

Signing up is easy. Go to The President's Challenge to sign up, then pick which goal you want to work on for the week. There are eight goals to choose from, and you will have to pick a new one each week, in addition to keeping up with your previous goal. You can choose to drink water instead of sugary beverages, or eat seafood, or cut down on your portions, to name just a few. After that, you can look through the list of activities to do, and they are all assigned points. The ones with stars () next to them count more because they are more strenuous, or you can pick some to add to your favorites list, but you can choose to do exercises from either list. Once you do the exercise, sign in and log your activity. Adults must do 30 minutes for five out of seven days each week, and children 6-17 years old must do 1 hour of activity a day.

There is an activity for every fitness level. A fat reduction review can help you construct a clear describe of what you demand to focus on to carry out your fat loss purpose if you're a beginner; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an advanced or more improve step of their weight loss program. Applying are seven steps that can serve as guidelines for your special weight loss program. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same. Many weight loss plans have tricked people into wondering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss applications only work by leading to a person's body to burn more muscle flesh and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. Walking, yoga, gardening are some of the easier activities, and rock climbing, calisthenics, and circuit training are the more strenuous activities, and many more in between. Even housework counts as an activity! Anything that gets you moving counts. Take advantage of all the hiking trails in Colorado Springs and start logging your progress.

At the end of the eight-week program, if you've met all your goals you'll earn the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award
