Ever feel like you cant change the world because youre just one person? Like it doesnt matter what you do because it wont make a difference anyway? Well, one person challenged that thought and what she found absolutely shocked her and inspired an international movement.

Christina McCalla, a child support enforcement officer and reserve Lieutenant from a small town in mid-Michigan, has held many jobs to pay the bills. In addition to her day job enforcing collection of child support payments and acting as Reserve Lieutenant for a squad of 32 officers, she also worked part time for a weight loss franchise and a small company that processed homes after people were forced out due to eviction.

Although all my jobs seem to involve people in unfortunate circumstances, I always try to treat people with dignity and respect and encourage them to not give up on their situations. The worst thing you can do is lose hope, she says.

When Christina relocated from Michigan to California, she decided that it was time to follow her true passion. She switched careers from law enforcement to writing.

In February, she self-published her first book titled Rock Solid ABBs (Attitudes, Beliefs and Behaviors) for Weight Loss Success, written to inspire and motivate people to achieve their weight loss goals. She sold out of her printed copies instantly. I didnt even have enough copies to fill my personal orders back home. I am humbled by the support everyone is giving me, she says.

Sticking with the motivational theme, Christina has almost finished writing her second book which is loaded with stories from her law enforcement career, and life in general. That book, she says, is aimed toward motivating people to challenge their negative beliefs and focus on what they do have versus what they dont have.

But, Christina says that she felt like it wasnt enough. She wanted to do something major. Something that would change the world.

That is when her idea Handcuffs of Hope was born. Her goal? To change the worldone random act of kindness at a time.

People nowadays feel like they have no control over their world, like they are sort of handcuffed to their circumstances with no ability to change them. I think that if we start helping each other, as if we are handcuffed together, that is when we will start to see some major changes. Its up to all of us to take care of the people who are trying to survive, but struggling. Its important to never give up hope, she says.

Christinas goal is to encourage people to take the time to do nice things for each other. It may be by doing something small like just smiling and saying hello to stranger, or picking up a piece of trash on the sidewalk instead of walking by it.

Or, if youre up to the challenge, it could be bigger like donating time at a soup kitchen or helping distribute items to domestic violence shelters. Every bit matters. Just ask the person on the receiving end, Christina says.

She encourages actors, participants in the movement, to share their experiences with her and intends to publish a book of the stories submitted in the hopes that it motivates others to continue this trend and leave a better world for tomorrow.

Seems like she isnt the only one who wants this to happen. Within the first 24 hours of putting up her website and Facebook page on June 17, Christina received interest and inquiries regarding joining the movement from all over the United States (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Florida and Minnesota) and also from overseas. A fat loss review can help you construct a clear summarize of what you demand to focus on to accomplish your fat loss goal if you're a novice; or serve as a reminder for those who are at an intermediate or more enhance stage of their weight loss plan. Applying are seven steps that can serve as tips for your special weight loss program. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not exactly the same thing. Many weight loss courses have tricked people into considering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss programs only work by causing a person's body to reduce more muscle cells and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. She reports that people from the United Kingdom, Germany and Ireland have expressed interest in becoming involved.

Christina says, I am absolutely amazed by the number of people who want the same thing. I am hoping that everyone gets involved in some way, shape or form. I dont care whether they write to me to include it in the book or not. Thats not the point. The point is to truly change the world!

For more information, or to make a commitment to do random acts of kindness, you can visit her website or Facebook page so you can be inspired to do your part and meet others who have already made the commitment.

Every great action started with just one person who believed. Are you that person? Do you have the guts to change the world?
