Tonight was the start of the 15th season of "Dancing With the Stars," and this time all the stars are winners, runners-up, or people's choices, from previous seasons. All but two ended up in the finals in their respective seasons. Scoring is much tougher this season, and some of the critiques have been a little tough, too. When you have excelled in the past, you are expected to excel in the future.
Many of the stars have lost weight on the show. Of course, when you are dancing six hours a day at the rate they do, sweating and constantly moving, you would lose weight, tooassuming you are combining the exercise with a healthy eating plan. Be sharp in your movements, stand up straight (the judges comment on that a lot), hold your shoulders back, extend your arms gracefully, and dip in smooth movements. While the judges are critiquing the dancers, cool down with some slow movements, and then prepare yourself for the next dancer. Drink some water.
If you are unable to do that because you are confined to a chair, perhaps you can move your arms in the same manner as the stars who are dancing. If you can move your legs, do that, too. Whatever you can do in the way of movementDO IT!
Remember--you are not competing in the competition, you are just exercising for fun, just as the dancers said this eveningthey are doing it for the fans. Do this for yourself, and have fun doing it. After all, it is only 39 minutes total of exercise--1 minute warm-up, 1 minute dancing your socks off, and 1 minute cool-down for the 13 couples. You can do this!
