Despite her car crashes and booze bummers, Lindsay Lohan has nabbed the starring role in "The Canyons," a film about ambition and sex among young people in Los Angeles, reported the Los Angeles Daily News today. The role is particularly desirable because the director is Paul Schrader, famed for writing "Taxi Driver" and directing "American Gigolo." Lindsay's publicist noted that her motivation to take the role "was because of Paul Schrader and the opportunity to work with such an iconic filmmaker."
