Jenny Craig's celebrity summer recipes from its Party in the Plaza cookoff (Photos)

Jenny Craig took over the plaza at New York's Lincoln Center last week for a free outdoor cookout, and we've got the recipes.

Jenny Craig celebrity clients Valerie Bertinelli, Sara Rue, Nicole Sullivan and Ross Mathews were surprised at the event by a flash mob dance performance, and Mathews, showing off his 40-pound weight loss, also MC'd a celebrity Recipe Challenge.

Attendees got to taste each of the creations, and voted on their favorite recipe. Bertinelli won for her Chipotle Cheeseburgers.

The recipes use some Jenny Craig food, but you can easily substitute your own food.

Valerie Bertinelli's Chipotle Cheeseburgers

• 2 Jenny Craig Beef & Cheese Sliders
• 3 tablespoons light sour cream
• 1/2 chipotle chili in adobo sauce, finely chopped
• 2 teaspoons white onion, finely chopped
• 2 teaspoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped
• 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
• 2 teaspoons butter, melted
• 1/8 avocado, thinly sliced

Separate the buns, patties and cheese slices of the Beef & Cheese Sliders while still frozen. Thaw the Slider components in refrigerator. Heat Slider patties on grill over medium heat. In a small bowl, combine sour cream, chipotle, onion, cilantro and pepper together and mix well. Baste bun faces lightly with butter. Place buns on the grill face down on low heat until lightly brown. top bottom buns with burger patty, cheese slice and half of the sour cream mixture. Top each with a thin avocado slice and cover with top buns.

Makes 2 cheeseburgers.

Sara Rue's Teriyaki Chicken Kebabs

• 4 chicken breasts from Jenny Craig Chicken Sandwiches
• 2 red bell peppers
• 2 green bell peppers
• 1 red onion
• 8 mushrooms
• 16 chunks pineapple

Teriyaki Sauce/Marinade

• 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 3 tablespoons honey

Thaw chicken breasts in refrigerator. In a small bowl, combine ingredients for the sauce/marinade. Slice each chicken breast into 6 to 8 chunks. Marinate chicken breast pieces for 20 minutes in the marinade. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes. Slice bell peppers and onions into 1-inch squares. Assemble chicken, vegetables and pineapple on skewers putting 3 to 4 pieces of chicken on each skewer with vegetables and pineapple in between. Brush generously with teriyaki sauce/marinade. Put kebabs on grill at low heat. If kebabs start to burn, transfer to upper rack. Baste kebabs with sauce/marinade throughout. Grill until veggies are tender.

Makes 8 kebabs.

Nicole Sullivan's Island Turkey Burger

• 2 Jenny Craig Turkey Burgers
• 2 tablespoons pineapple, diced
• 2 tablespoons mango, diced
• 1 tablespoon yellow bell pepper, diced
• 1/4 Roma tomato, diced
• Pinch of dill
• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette

Separate frozen turkey burger patties and buns. Thaw in refrigerator. Heat turkey burger patties on the grill over medium heat. Warm the buns on low heat. Stir together pineapple, mango, bell pepper, tomato and dill with balsamic dressing.
