'Glee' star Lea Michele gets L'Oreal contract: vegan diet tips for glowing skin

Joining Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani, gorgeous "Glee" star Lea Michele has been named the new face of beauty company L'Oreal, revealed the New York Daily News today. Although she rose to fame because of her acting and singing talents, Lea also has become known for her beautiful skin and figure. Lea has followed a vegan diet for years, although her idea of "heaven used to be relaxing at home with a cheese plate and champagne," she admitted to Women's Health magazine recently. But then she read the best-selling diet book, "Skinny Bitch," which Lea says, "slapped me in the face" and made her decide to give up meat. Lea eats unprocessed foods such as soy and nuts for protein, vegetables, fruits and complex carbs such as whole grains, she told Women's Health. In addition, she works out with a personal fitness trainer.

And even though she has healthy, radiant skin from her vegan diet, Lea appreciates the benefits of cosmetics in her acting career. "Growing up on stage, I was introduced to makeup at a young age and I will never forget the first time I tried on a L'Oreal Paris iconic lipstick it was instant glamour and I've been hooked ever since,"she said, according to People InStyle. "Im so thankful to be a part of a television show that promotes inner beauty and self-worth. Now to be a part of this amazing family that expresses the same amazing message is such an honor," she added.
