Recently, I had the opportunity to advertise my Bridal Fitness Bootcamp at the Crowne Plaza Bridal Festival in Colorado Springs. I had so much fun meeting so many brides-to-be and loved the conversations I was able to have with those really interested in health and nutrition!

One of my displays was a plate of homemade Tomato Chicken Parmesan in a glass cake stand with a sign asking the attendees to guess the number of calories to win 3 free personal training sessions with me. It was so funny watching people break down the ingredients and trying to do the math in their heads. A fat loss overview can help you build a clear summarize of what you need to focus on to achieve your fat reduction goal if you're a beginner; or serve as a reminder for these who are at an advanced or more advance stage of their weight-loss plan. Applying are seven steps that can serve as suggestions for your personal weight loss plan. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same thing. Many weight loss programs have misled people into thinking that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss programs only work by resulting in a person's body to lose more muscle flesh and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. I received a range of answers starting as low as 350 and going as high as 3117 (had nothing to do with my busines 31:17 Training, I'm sure)! Here was what the sign read:

CAN YOU GUESS HOW MANY CALORIES ARE IN THIS DISH?

THE CORRECT ANSWER WINS A FREE FITNESS ASSESSMENT AND 3 FREE PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS WITH 31:17 Training!!!

INGREDIENTS (tomato chicken parmesan):

1 egg white, 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, 5 oz chicken breast, 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 cup whole wheat spaghetti noodles, 1 cup chunky tomato sauce, 1/4 cup cheddar cheese

If you want to guess how many there are on your own, then stop reading because I am about to reveal the correct answer! Here is how the dish breaks down calorically:

1 egg white (10 calories), 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (83 calories), 5 oz chicken breast (162.5 calories), 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs (50 calories), 1 tbsp olive oil (120 calories), 1 cup whole wheat spaghetti noodles (173 calories), 1 cup chunky tomato sauce (80 calories), 1/4 cup cheddar cheese (110 calories)

TOTAL = 788.5 CALORIES!!!

Now, we all love chicken parmesan (except, of course, if you're a vegetarian...do they make tofu parmesan???), so how can you make the same dish, only lighter? Try these substitutions:

Substitute chicken broth for olive oil (won't be as crispy) Substitute roasted spaghetti squash for noodles (DELISH!) Substitute part-skim mozarella for cheddar cheese

These three substitutions will save you 276 calories, and will be just as delicious! Thank you to all the brides who participated! Now it's time to email the winner!!!
