Celebrity stylist Kithe Brewster has glammed up some of showbiz's biggest stars -- Julianne Moore, Heidi Klum and Beyonce to name-drop a few -- but his most ambitious project may be right under his nose. The stylist is working on losing weight and improving his health.
EverydayHealth.com is chronicling his weight-loss journey with the help of the Duke Diet & Fitness Center in North Carolina.
The web series, 60 Pounds in 6 Months, produced by a former executive of The Biggest Loser, will follow Brewster on his six-month journey to lose 60 pounds. A new episode will premiere each month, building toward the finale and Kithes big reveal on Aug. 15.
His goals: Lose 60 pounds, reduce his waist size by 9 inches, run a 5K, and normalize his blood pressure.
And he's well on his way. After four weeks at the Duke facility, a residential weight-loss program, he lost 22 pounds, reduced his total cholesterol 50 points and improved his LDL cholesterol by 20 percent.
"As Kithe's success grew, so did he," his sister Kacy Duke, a celebrity trainer told Everyday Health. "He knew how worried I was my family would tell him he was a heart attack waiting to happen.
