They range from the Campground Trail, a low impact .2 mile connector, and Turkey Pen Ridge, a simple .4 mile walk, to more challenging trails like the 2.6 mile Paw Paw Trail, which features a 300' climb as part of the loop.
If you can handle a moderate climb, the trail not to be missed is the Base of Falls Trail, a .4 mile one way hike downhill to the bottom of the big falls. While the hike down is challenging due to finding your footing, it's the climb up that is truly strenuous here.
Base of Falls, as well as the 1.8 mile Piney Falls trail and the .95 mile Overlook trail, are absolute musts if you want to combine your hiking with amazing nature photography. While the two sets of falls are the stars here, there is plenty else for a shutterbug. Wildlife in the area is virtually fearless, with squirrels running right up to you and deer walking serenely through the woods only feet away from you.
If you're more of a hardcore hiker, Fall Creek Falls has two overnight trails for you, The first is a 12 mile Lower Loop trail that is listed as hard and a 13 mile Upper Loop trail listed as moderate. Both trails offer camping with a permit.
