We all know that the produce we see in our supermarkets is not always in season, and the vegetables there look like something generated from a science experiment gone wrong. But, all is not lost, especially if you want the freshest produce that is actually in season at this time of the year.

No matter where you live, you are likely to find farmer markets in your area. (Well, maybe not in the Antarctic!). A fat reduction overview can help you establish a clear summarize of what you demand to focus on to complete your fat burning goal if you're a novice; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an intermediate or more advance step of their weight-loss strategy. Promptly after are seven steps that can serve as methods for your personal weight loss program. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not a similar thing. Many weight loss courses have misled people into thinking that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss applications only work by producing a person's body to burn more muscle flesh and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. Their hours are not as frequent, nor the selections as prevalent, but you can still buy fresh produce that is in season.

In the Albuquerque area, there is the Corrales Winter Growers' Market, open the first Sunday monthly, from 11 AM to 1 PM. You can find the market in the recreation center at 500 Jones Road and Corrales Road.

Also, the Los Ranchos Winter Growers' Market operates on the second Saturday monthly, in the tennis court parking lot at 6718 Rio Grande NW, from 10 AM to noon. If the weather is bad, they move indoors to the adjacent community barn.

For a little fun, stop in at one of these markets, and pick something that you have never eaten before, or perhaps do not even recognize. Find out what it is, take it home, and make a new dish with it. Or, as you can do to most vegetables, steam it for a side dish. This new year, it might be nice to resolve to learn about six new vegetables you have never eaten--that's just one every two months.

I recall once in a grocery store, someone asked me if I knew what he was pointing to. I actually asked him if he was testing me! I had to laugh--he was asking someone whose idea of cooking is using the kitchen once a quarter to make sure it is still there and I can remember where things are!

Other winter NM markets are in Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Socorro, and Taos. For more information, click here. For those outside NM, check your state cooperative extension office, usually located at one of the state colleges.
