Media in America spotlight the worst case scenarios in the obesity epidemic in America with some small chance that it will send Americans a wake up call.

Obesity is a condition that affects Americans in not only an adult stage but in adolescence as well. A fat reduction review can help you construct a clear describe of what you require to focus on to carry out your fat burning goal if you're a starter; or serve as a reminder for the ones who are at an intermediate or more improve stage of their weight-loss strategy. Applying are seven steps that can serve as instructions for your personal weight loss program. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not exactly the same thing. Many weight loss courses have misled people into wondering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss plans only work by leading to a person's body to reduce more muscle tissue and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. The Center for Disease Control, the top agency for generating data of current epidemics, has statistics on its website of how this incredible disorder affects all Americansfrom the patient themselves, to the cost of healthcare, and taxpayer money to help control this vast endemic.

According to the data, two out of three adults are either overweight or obese, and one out of every five children is affected. How can that be? Is this right? Yes, it is right. The reasons for such alarming figures are that adults are teaching bad eating habits to their children. To top it all off, if this unhealthy lifestyle continues, children will be sicker than the current contemporaries when they reach this age. Unfortunately, the horror doesnt end there. People continue to look away, pour out money for this illness, and live life in the hopes that someone else will find the cure or magic pill to fix it. Guess what! There is no magic pill, and the power to stop this rising, killer disease is in our hands.

News media exposes and articles talk of the statistics, the treatment options, the health related issues, and how it affects all demographics of the peoples. In a time of recession and the recovery Americans are freaking out about the indulgent spending of our taxpayers dollars on what many consider to be a vanity disorder. The idea of healthcare costs to battle an endemic of our own making can be unsettling. Especially when many of us are still out of work, barely making ends meet, trying to feed our own family and praying that they dont have to go to the hospital anytime soon. This article is a straight forward, no-holds-barred insight to the root of the problem.

What exactly are the taxpayers paying for in this condition? Health related issuesproblems that occur secondary to the initial disorder. Here is a brief list of the most common after effects: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, heart disease, stroke, and certain types of cancers, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglyceride levels, sleep apnea, asthma, arthritis, and gall bladder disease. This list is provided by the CDC.

What is the total cost for these health related symptoms? According to the CDC, 2003 the cost to obesity related health issues reached 75 billion dollars. Money we could use for education, child care, or recycled back into the healthcare sector to make it more affordable for all of us to obtain good quality health care, and jobs in America.

Media also informs us how much money Americans spend to make an attempt at loosing weight. Market data; found that Americans spent 59 billion dollars on weight loss in 2008. All of that money spent and only 2% of the people who actually lost weight kept it off longer than five (5) years.

What can the people of the United States do to combat this disorder? Americans have the power to save ourselves. Easy concept isnt it? But its true. First and foremost, as with any disease or disorder is the admittance that we have one and we contributed to the unhealthy risk we live at now. It sounds like this. I am fat, obese, and I am sick. This is my fault for eating like Im six years old. Or however it affects you. Next, eat less calories than you burn. If you eat 1600 calories and burn off 100, you will NOT loose weight. Devise a diet plan with your healthcare professional and stick with it. Yes, it is hard, most good things are. No, you wont loose weight right away, even lots of weight, but remember, you didnt gain it over night either.

Cutting down on calories isnt the only thing you can do for your bodyyou have to exercise, so get your butt off the couch America and move. Stop whining, pay attention to what you are living for and take back your healthy life. You have the tools; its all up to you now.
